About Me
Nice to meet you - I'm Jackie Graves.

I'm a graduate of Durham College's Journalism.- Mass Media program and freelance writer and social media manager. I've had a passion for writing and storytelling ever since I was young, which is what inspired me to turn it into a career that truly impacts the world around me.
I have specific interests in print and web with a focus on community news, blogs and newsletters. I'm also a competent photographer and broadcast journalist with skills in video, audio, and photo production and editing.
I'm very passionate about my work and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment. I thrive with a deadline and can produce content quickly under pressure.

Other Media Experience
I have completed two internships, including with Metroland Media in Durham Region and with Durham College. I wrote multiple articles in each position and even had the opportunity to edit for my peers.

I have attended Durham College's Journalism - Mass Media program since 2017. I graduated with honours and received a total of three awards for my academic achievements and leadership, including Best First-Year News Story, the Shaun Sutcliff Award, and the DCAA Leaders of Tomorrow Award.
2007 - 2011
Bracebridge Muskoka Lakes Secondary School
I attended Bracebridge Muskoka Lakes Secondary School and received my high school diploma.
